MESA, Ariz. -- Oft-injured Kerry Wood is out again -- this time because of a flub in a hot tub.
The Chicago Cubs pitcher is not expected to throw off the mound for a few days after he slipped this week getting out of a hot tub at home. Wood landed on his stomach and chest.
Something is seriously wrong with this man. Like on Lost last night. Desmond's subconcious ( in the form of an old lady antique dealer) said, "The universe has a way of course correcting. If I saved that man today from the scaffold, he would have been hit tomorrow by a taxi. If I saved him from the taxi, he would have died the next day."
One gets the feeling that the universe has it out for Wood. Maybe the universe wants him to play somewhere else. I mean, the season hasn't even started yet.
In the words of Gob Bluth, "COME ON!!!!"

It's good to see some respect paid to Gob Bluth. The "Sword of Destiny" episode was one of the finest half hours of television ever produced.
As for the Cubs, I'm going to make a totally irresponsible prediction and say that with or without Wood, the Cubbies are going all the way this year. Okay, probably not, but I'll be listenin' to Pat and Ron regardless.
What would we do without Pat and Ron?
Now Pat, Ron & Gob... that would be something.
