42

Today is Jackie Robinson Day in major league baseball, commemorating the day he became the first African American to play in the league.

Players can honor him on this day by wearing jerseys with his number on the back.

Several of the Cubs are wearing #42 today. My question is why aren't they all wearing it? I don't get it.

Not only is it Jackie Robinson's number, it's the answer to the question of Life, the Universe, and Everything.

I thought a more fitting tribute would be for all players to be 42 for today. Not sure why they're not.

I bet it would be easy to be the public address guy on Jackie Robinson day

Now batting #42
Playing 3rd #42
Coming in to pitch for #42 is #42

I'm a teacher. Apparently this means I must know EVERY answer to EVERY question in all of creation. Heaven help me if I make a spelling error. I'm also a wife & "new Mommie" (shudder). Don't get me wrong, I love my babies, but the phrase "new mommie" has got to go. It just conjures up images of scrunchies & sweat pants in my mind. Phooey.
