Ostrich feathers, anyone?
I'm a simple girl with simple needs. It takes very little to make me laugh. A lil' gold lame (don't know how to put the accent over the last letter to make it spell la-may) and some good ole fashioned 80's hair will do the trick for me.
This may have already made it's way around the internet, but it may be my favorite video of all time. Chris B. hadn't seen it yet, so I feel confident that sharing it with you won't be redundant. It's long... you must watch at least the first fashion part. It's worth it. Without further ado I give you:
Young and the Restless star Brenda Dickson's house tour and fashion show (circa 1987) in all its glory.
Enjoy!

"Snake 'n jeans are a great look." None of this is news to me.
Also, start button/all programs/accessories/system tools/character map and double click the e with the accent you want. (Then click copy or ctrl+c.)
Hilarious! Have you ever seen the show "Malia" on public access? It features Malia dancing in lots of outfits. It is the best show in the history of television.
I will put Tivo on the case to search for that... unfortunately we don't get a lot of the good public access shows w/ directtv.
Thanks Chris for the tip on the accent. I will surely have to refer to this post when I need to accent another letter.
Umlauts are in there, too.
oh god - i can't wait to get home to watch this in its entirety.
"ostrich feathers anyone?" of course. you don't even have to ask.
Know that I wouldn't have watched this all the way through if Maria didn't already have it on.
Yes, we both made it to the end.
The scene that I can't shake is the one in her kitchen... she took a bite out of that carrot and PUT IT BACK IN THE JAR OF CARROTS, bitten-end-down. Sick.
That said, her kitchen scene would make a swell little double-feature with a some Cee Dub Butch Welsh, of TV's Dutch Oven & Camp Cooking, as seen here.
"Dutch Oven..." is about as close as you can get to public-access-quality programming on the ol' DirecTV, but that YouTube clip has all the best out-takes.
