Oh Tivo

Shouldn't you know me better by now???

It changed the channel in the middle of the Cubs game to tape Green Acres. In its defense, we were losing at the time. This is the first season in a while where I've not given up on the team when we were down by some runs. (Even 9???)

Also in its defense, Devin really does like Green Acres.

How sweet is the walk-off home run? Man, you have to really feel like a superstar when you pull off something like that. A-Ram-Ram, I loves him! Ellie & I hit the rewind on that one at least 5 times. (although she was singing "Go Sorry-Wano!" I was going to explain that he's on the DL and wasn't even playing, but I figured that may be too much info for a 2 year old to handle). I remember he hit a similar walk-off Friday day game homerun about this time last year also. Sweet!

Not going to brag too much about the win; we very well could get our butts handed to us the next 2 games.

All I know is that its been a lot of fun watching my favorite team this year, and I don't get to say that very often. I'm glad my Sox friends are also enjoying their team as well. Although you do have that World Series win to savor... so don't be too greedy.

Oh Sweet Summer Baseball!

The Cubs are the best team in baseball and will definitely go to the playoffs. The SOX will need some breaks. This may be the best Cub lineup I can remember.

The thing about A-Ram (and I haven't been the biggest A-Ram fan) but he has finally figured out how to hit in the clutch (last year and now this year).

A-Ram was one of the big reasons they made the playoffs last year and now he is hitting when other big bats are quiet or out of the lineup. I know you were always a fan of that guy, he's turned a corner and things are looking great from a Cubs point of view.

Even though it was horrible to watch a team do to the SOX what the Cubs did in the 4th...that's great offensive baseball on the Cubs part. They had guys on 1st and 3rd most of the inning and kept moving them over. 1st to 3rd - - 1st to 3rd - - 1st to 3rd.

It was a nightmare but impressive to watch.

I'm a teacher. Apparently this means I must know EVERY answer to EVERY question in all of creation. Heaven help me if I make a spelling error. I'm also a wife & "new Mommie" (shudder). Don't get me wrong, I love my babies, but the phrase "new mommie" has got to go. It just conjures up images of scrunchies & sweat pants in my mind. Phooey.
