One thing I'll miss about the city

Well nobody's bought our place yet... but we're in the process of a slight price reduction so it may be soon now. There's a lot of things I'm going to miss about living here ( and of course some I won't). One great thing is deciding to go somewhere, and 15 minutes later, we're here:
We had a blast on Father's Day at Millenium Park. Had a nice lunch and did plenty of splashing in the fountain. It turned out to be a beautiful day, despite the rainy start. Had some ice cream and took in a bit of the Chicago Youth Orchestra performance in the band shell area. Even had some tourists take their picture with us. Please let me know if you see our faces pasted on some Asian porn.

I know how you all are into that sort of thing. No judgements...

I will really miss this sort of thing. I suspect trips to Chicago from the burbs will probably take more planning than we're used to.

But for now, the city is my friend.

I love this town in the summer! And Happy Father's Day to all you Dads out there.

I'm a teacher. Apparently this means I must know EVERY answer to EVERY question in all of creation. Heaven help me if I make a spelling error. I'm also a wife & "new Mommie" (shudder). Don't get me wrong, I love my babies, but the phrase "new mommie" has got to go. It just conjures up images of scrunchies & sweat pants in my mind. Phooey.
