A Serious Question

Much delay in writing- sorry. Mostly because I just want to crap-talk work and that's no fun to read, now is it? Well, let's see.

Here's the situation. There is an evil, evil, evil overlord who has taken over the running of our school. There's so much to say about this, but really, you wouldn't care. In order to get a good idea of her personality, please see the

"Checklist of the qualities of a pathological liar" below:

____They lie about even the smallest things. For example, saying "I brushed my teeth today," when they didn't.
____They add exaggerations to every sentence.
____They change their story all the time.
____They act very defensively when you question their statements.
____They believe what they say is true, when everyone else knows it isn't.
____Lies to get sympathy, to look beter, to save their butt, etc.
____Fools people at first but once they get to know him, no one believes anything they ever say.
____May have a personality disorder.
____Extremely manipulative.
____Has been caught in lies repeatedly.
____Never fesses up to the lies.
____Is a legend in their own mind.

I've highlighted the ones I believe pertain to her. Seems to be quite a few off the ole checklist doesn't it. Hmm, curious.

She's taken to trying to humiliate teachers in our weekly meetings by calling them out and yelling at them. Today I got the spotlight, as did my very good friend. She threatened to write us up for insubordination for, get this, telling our students that if they didn't feel safe in our building, due to the rampant violence , that they should go home and tell their parents about it. Apparently, we are NOT TO LET THE PARENTS KNOW, UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCE, WHAT GOES ON IN THE BUILDING. Other teachers also were called out for having "secret meetings" and "congregating near the supply closet." ??????huh?????

I stand behind my statement to my students. Please answer this question- it would really help me to know how normal people would feel in this situation-

How would you feel/ what would you do if you found out that your child's school was discouraging teachers and students from telling parents that the school environment has become unsafe (kids w/ knives, fights with bats, brass knuckles, 20 year olds being called in as back-ups during fights, approx. 10 violent fights per week).
