Bad Summer TV- Part 1

The Coreys
Summer TV is rarely good. Unfortunately, I've been able to catch a good deal of it due to this insane "morning" (all-day) sickness I've had raging for the past 10 + weeks. Yeah, I've been riding the couch hard during my baby-free evening hours. Besides all the baseball, I've also subjected myself to some really bad shows. And yes, I do keep watching them.
When I first heard the Coreys were making a comeback, I was mildly pleased. I had a slight fondness for Haim back in the day, nothing on the Simon-Le-Bon-Level or anything. I just thought he was cute.
Needless to say, I was sadly disappointed in the show. The premise is that Haim comes to live with Feldman & his wife. Haim, out of rehab & ready to get back on track, is made out to be some sort of rude superslob. Feldman, with his dullard wife, is made out to be the neat freak. It's so obviously staged, it'd be an insult to my intelligence, if I hadn't already sacrificed that by watching the damn show in the first place.
Par example: Feldman & wife are having a romantic interlude in the hot tub. In walks Haim, ready to take a dip with them. OOOOOPS! HIS BAD! How OUTRAGEOUS! Come on...
Show highlight: Haim was really bummin' when he found out that they were making the Lost Boys 2 and it wasn't starring him and Feldman. Feldman consoled him with this gem: "Dude, I totally know where you are coming from. Now you know how I feel when they didn't ask me to be in Ninja Turtles 2."
They really do seem to be really good friends, which is the only redeeming quality to the show. I just wish it was more reality, less script. On the positive side, Feldman has a really nice house. It just proves what I've always known- to be a washed-up or B-level star ain't really all that bad. Even Carrottop is laughin' all the way to the bank.
Worth watching? : Ehhh, probably not.
