time of the year!

Not Christmas, Christmas is lame compared to BASEBALL SEASON. Yeah, woo, yeah woo! I'm taking this quick second to post BEFORE the game, just in case it's a horrible, horrible mess.

I feel optimistic. I'm not ready to call for a World Series Win like Dempster, but I feel like it could be a fun year to watch some Cubs.

Yes, I do say this every year.

Yes, a playoff/ World Series season would be great. Fabulous even. But I'm content to have them just win some games. Heck, I'm content to have them not just suck royally. I don't think that's too much to ask.

Let's see... if Z gets a win on opening day, I think it could be a good sign.

Easter finery

It's a Christmas miracle!!!

I slept for 7 hours straight last night

I feel like a new woman! I can conquer the world!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

But I'll probably just fold the laundry.

Finally, a moment to myself!!!

The last 5 1/2 weeks have been crazy. Baby doesn't like the bottle or the pacifier, so I have been both for the majority of each day. It's a lot of sitting; thank God for the internet. Besides taking a shower, the only time I've been away from him has been a 15 minute run to CVS. He even sleeps with us now. Egad.

It's been really great though. Ellie is handling it remarkably well for a 2 year old. It's really hard to get anything productive done, let alone spend any leisure time on ourselves. Our entertainment consists mainly of watching the precious hour of Lost each week. It's just about what I'd expected raising 2 kids would be.

I'm not understanding how people do it with 5 kids though. I look at my parents and think, "You are friggin' nuts!" And they did it without drinking. That's the real mystery. I never will understand how they made it through...
